The Phive - Free Daily Sports Bets (9/9)

That's back to back bad days and an unfortunate big L with the Bucks series. Luckily, that's our first really bad bet of the year, and at the end of the day, I can't be too mad about it. Today is going to be a much, much shorter slate with only two games on the docket. I will be back later with my best bets for Week 1 of the NFL, which I'm sure everyone will be happy to see.

The Raptors are finally big enough dogs

I'm finally happy with a line in this Raptors/Celtics series. In the beginning, I was all over the Raptors but they just couldn't get it together in the first three games of the series. But now, after their terrible performance in Game 5, they are three-point underdogs in Game 6, which I love. The Celtics could easily win this game, but the Raptors aren't going to go down easy in this series. They fought hard in Games 3 and 4, and I like them to battle throughout this game as well. Let's not overreact to Game 5. I honestly expect this series to go 7.

BET: Raptors +3

MLB

My best record right now is in the MLB yet I bet it quite infrequently. Today, I'm hopping on the Brewers -1.5 against my favorite pitcher in the MLB, Matthew Boyd. Boyd has actually been really good in his last two starts, though both of those starts came against the Twins. I'm not saying the Twins aren't good, I'm saying Boyd just has them figured out. Because of it, his numbers are starting to look a lot better. It's all a facade though. Corbin Burnes gets the start for the Brewer and his numbers are actually good of late. The Brewers run line is plus money, and any time I can get that against Matthew Boyd, I'm going to take it.

BET: Brewers -1.5 (+105)

That's it for today. I'll be back with my best plays for Week 1 of the NFL later. As always, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @Phil_Wood_Jr.
